"Using loops, delay, headphones, and voice to expand a feedback environment of vocal
sounds to the point where all the elements have equal footing inside a field of sensation.
Losing track of what makes which sound while allowing the voice to be activated and
responsive within the larger noise field. Elements: delay, looper, microphone, headphones,
voice, body, PCP."
"For 'Zone Meditation' I recorded three drum patterns at different BPM, to create a shifting
polytempic environment to support Andy's vocal work. 'Tek Saataanek Maatek' uses
simple phrases in Lashtek, Antibody's own post-apocaplytic trash language. For this
track, I used both the slowest and highest BPM the drum machine could produce, and
continually increased the volume while recording to tape to get as saturated a sound as
possible. For both tracks I made use of a boombox cassette player I've had since I was a
kid. When recording the vocals for 'Tek Saataanek Maatek' the boombox died. The
mechanical parts stopped working, so in effect this song represents the last recording
that machine ever made."
